Kim Fucillo Klopp
I primarily paint in oil, though I also work with spray paint, pastels, wood and acrylics. Recently, I’ve started exploring pottery as well. As far back as I can remember, I’ve been both a skier and an artist. Some of my earliest memories are of my dad yelling, “Kimberley, get out of the trees!” while skiing — and of quietly drawing along with Captain Kangaroo on Saturday mornings so I wouldn’t wake my family. Now that I’m older, I still find joy in both sport and creativity. You can still find me skiing in the trees.
After moving to Idaho and leaving a long-time career, I wasn’t sure what would come next. A friend encouraged me to pursue my art more seriously. I had sold paintings off the walls of my home to people who loved my work, but I never saw it as a viable path — until I started brainstorming how to make it one.
I thought of all my skier friends who also make art, and I wondered: what if we came together to sell our work as a collective? That’s how Binding Art was born.
